Henley Qualifiers 2023

Henley Qualifiers 2023:

Our Men’s 4+ raced in qualifiers for the Britannia challenge cup on Friday 23rd June. Against extremely strong competition they unfortunately missed out on spot in the event. Despite not qualifying the crew were pleased with the time as they made significant gains on clubs since Marlow Regatta.

They gave everything they had all the way to the line … as you can hopefully tell from the faces in the photo!

AGM 2022

Club President Terry Palmer started the AGM with a statement to all members.

This was followed by the Treasurers report by Glenn Wilkins. Detialing all income and expenditure over the course of the previous year, taking any questions from members over the club accounts.

Club Secretary Debs Crowther gave her final annual report to club members before she resigned from her position. We would like to thank Debs for all her hardwork over her years in office. Debs has really moved the club on and helped 'steady the ship' through recent tough times.

Claire Fowler was elected by the members to become our new club secretary.

The meeting was closed with Chairman Andy Cox completing his 3 years in office, handing the reigns to Vice-Chairman David Copp to step up into office.

We all wish David & Claire the best of luck as they take up new positions within the club.

Henley 4's & 8's Head 2022

A great day out for the Senior Men's Squad!

A strong head wind made for tough racing throughout the day! The 8+ ended with a 9th place finish out of 13 boats. A respectable result considering the level of competition.

The mens A 4+ of Ross Bennett, Mark Symons, Luis Wilkins, Charlie Colwill & Emily Bracken (cox) won the Band 2 Category.

The mens B 4+ of Adam Curtis, James Prichard, Alex Rowland, John Sandwell & Hazel Fowler (cox) finished in 5th place in the same category.

Overall a good day that is proof the training is paying off for these guys.
